Although Norbury shares the SW16 postcode with Streatham, it falls mainly under the London Borough of Croydon with a small area lying in the London Borough of Merton. Norbury offers good transport links and spacious properties, many of which have large gardens and some with garages. It is currently benefiting from increased interest due to rising prices in neighbouring Streatham. A surprisingly green, calm and community-minded suburb, Norbury is ideal for first-time buyers and families.
A wide range of property is available in Norbury. Good quality late Victorian terraces and semi-detached houses are plentiful; you will also find spacious flats, some 1920s properties and a few Edwardian period houses. The Scott’s Estate around Dunbar Avenue, Kilmartin Avenue and Strathyre Avenue offers mainly terraced housing with large gardens that are popular with families. If you are looking for flats, these are most easily found in central Norbury. The area surrounding Baldry Gardens and Fontaine Road remains the most exclusive where it is possible to find grand 5 bedroom semi-detached houses.

"I used Beresford Residential to purchase and then let and manage my property. From the initial contact to arrange a viewing to completion, I found the service good. They were easily contactable and kept me informed of progress, and when problems enviably arose they were helpful in trying to resolve them. On completion of the purchase and once I was ready to let the flat they found tenants within a couple of days and everything has gone smoothly."
