Area Guide

West Norwood is part of the London Borough of Lambeth and is primarily a residential area. Although once overlooked compared to its neighbours, West Norwood has been growing in popularity in recent years leading to a steady rise in sales and rental prices. Vendors and landlords are now reaping the benefits of increased interest in the area and for anyone looking to buy or rent, they’ll find a diverse range of housing on offer. Unlike surrounding areas, many houses have yet to be extended or receive loft conversions making the area an excellent choice for anyone looking to invest or add value.

In terms of transportation, the area is well served by two National Rail stations (West Norwood and Tulse Hill), and a multitude of bus routes. The nearest tube stations are Brixton and Balham, both of which can be easily reached by bus.

Local landmarks include West Norwood Cemetery – one of London’s Magnificent Seven Victorian burial places and the final resting place of Victorian cookery writer Mrs Beeton, St Luke’s Church, Norwood Park – a 33 acre green space with views of the city, and Peabody Hill Wood – an English Nature recognised area of outstanding importance.
