ARLA is the largest professional regulatory body for letting agents. Beresford Residential believe that all letting agents should be licensed to practice, both to protect you the consumer and to encourage and maintain high standards of customer service and knowledge. ARLA keeps its members up to date with changes in legislation and provides wide-ranging training and guidance to assist members in all aspects of letting and managing a property.
Our status as an ARLA licensed firm means that we have ARLA qualified staff in every branch, we hold appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance, and our client Bank Account is independently audited every year by ARLA which means you can be sure our systems are following the Principles of Professional Conduct set by ARLA.
The NAEA is the UK's leading professional body for estate agency. Our NAEA membership means that we are required to adhere to high standards of professional conduct. In addition to the strict code of conduct, our status as a licensed firm also means that we have an NAEA qualified member of staff in every branch.
The Property Ombudsman provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes involving sales and letting agents who have joined the TPO and consumers who are actual or potential buyers, sellers, landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK. Our membership to TPO further demonstrates our commitment to providing a first class, honest and fair service to all of our customers.
SAFE is a mark denoting firms that protect landlords and tenants money through client money protection schemes. Our ARLA membership includes a Client Money Protection levy and this scheme means that in the unlikely event that an agent misappropriates rent, deposit monies or other client funds, then the NFoPP will consider an application to compensate you.
Our membership with the London Rental Standard means that we’re committed to providing tenants with an excellent service and meeting all of our legal obligations. This includes things like protecting tenants' deposits and making sure our properties have been safety checked.
